Drain Clean Liquid Enzyme Cleaner 1 Litre

II bought it to try it with my slow drainage kitchen sink, which is especially slow in winter.

After reading the instructions on the back, it's clear to me that this product mostly cleans odours and prevent clogs.  It takes a minimum of 24 hours to work, which is not always reasonable if you, like me, use the sink every day. Besides, it says it needs to be used for several weeks to see a difference. Dismal. I'm a bit disappointed as my home piping is really old and needs something that works fast.

I followed the instructions, which say which quantity of product to use for slow drainage and for clogs. The quantity I used for slow drainage made no difference. Then, I used 3/4 of the bottle and there was a slight difference; yet, the water is still running down slow and pools in the sink if I keep the tap open. I let it work for 24 hours, but no dramatic effect.

This is, supposedly, an eco-friendly enzyme drain cleaner. Yet, when I read the ingredients list, it says it has Sodium Hydroxide, non-Ionic Surfactant and water. Well, better than other similar cleaners, yet it is a chemical product, just less harmful than others.

Personally, I would use this is my pipping was working normally, just once a fortnight to deodorize and prevent problems in the drainage,  but not with a slink like mine, where the product barely worked and was a waste of money.

Stardrops The Pink Stuff Cleaning Paste 850 g

This is the new kid on the block on the household cleaning world. I've never heard of this brand before, but it seems to be all around the Internet, with raving reviews and impacting videos.

A cleaning paste sounded something new to me, and this is why I got this tube and not other cleaning products on the same range. They describe it as a miraculous paste that cleans myriad surfaces grime and grease, so I have tried it on different surfaces to check it out myself.

As per my photos, I've tried it on a pot and a frying pan base, which  I scrubbed with a metallic scoured in the past without being able to remove the dry stained grease. I applied a thin coat using a soft scrubber, let it stay for 30 minutes, then scrubbed it off with the same metallic scourer, applied a new coat, left it stay for about 10-15 minutes more and scrubbed again. As you can see, there is a noticeable difference and I was able to remove most, but not all, the grease. So, it is not like in the videos you see on social media where everything comes off easily. It does not work like that.

I've also used the product as a normal surface cleaner in my kitchen, on the stove ceramic top, and the washing metallic sinks and bathroom tiles. It works well and quicker that way with barely any rubbing or scrubbing, leaving the surfaces clean and polished.

I love the creaminess and lovely scent of the product, how easily cleans and polishes, and the many uses it has. Yet, the company statements about rubbing gently before rising off are only true is you aren't removing any tough stains or grime or grease.

The company claims that the product is non-toxic,  vegan and non tested in animals, things that are all important to me. Yet, what is this miracle product made of? The ingredient list on the tube says "among others" soap, perfume and preservatives, and asks you to go to their website for the full list. That is unacceptable. Say, for example, that a pet or child consumes this by accident, you would want to know which ingredients are in the tub before heading to emergency services. I've gone to their website and the product has quartz, aqua, soap, sodium carbonate, sodium silicate, sodium bicarbonate, glycerin, perfume, ensizothiazolinone, Methylisothiatzolione, Layralamine Dipropylenediamine, and CI  45170 (I guess this is the pink colour). The website also says it's mildly abrasive and to use with care; so, after all, it sounds like slightly toxic and pretty chemical to me.

ZEISS Lens Wipes (50 pack)

I had never bought this brand of lense wipes before, but I thought of giving it a try as the packet is really big and the price was excellent.

These wipes definitely clean my glasses  and my smartphone. However, they don't glide much, so I find them hard to use on my spectacles.

The wipes are made of the same material as those wet napkins in a sachet that you get from some fast-food outlets. They smell of hand sanitiser, like of alcohol. The ingredients on the package say  "(per detergent regulations) <5% cationic and anionic tensides." That's not a list of ingredients, sorry! It does  not follow our product labelling regulations either. I did a quick search and these things are not a product. Examples of some common cationic surfactants include alkyl ammonium chloride (that's an ingredient). Examples of non-ionic surfactants include cocamide, ethoxylates and alkosylates (those are ingredients). And as per ingredient list they are in  a detergent solution, made of what?

I might change my mind in the future and change ratings and/or update my review. However, I prefer the other wipes brand better, and I'll  go to it when I finish this packet.

GAIA Skin Naturals Bamboo Baby Wipes, 80 Piece

I love Gaia products. They never disappoint me. This is also the case with these sensitive bamboo-based wipes. I don't have children, so I bought these wipes to use in my art practice. I have been using cleaning household wipes, critic acid based, and they are great, but they're not environmentally friendly and are sometimes too harsh on painting surfaces, so I thought I would give these Gaia a try.

These bamboo wipes have a lovely soft texture and a sweet creamy scent that I love. They are not too dry or drippy, still wet, so they're perfect for smudging and blending different kinds of media on paper without wiping off the whole thing or destroying the surface. They are also great to use with stencils as they wipe off paint and leave clear marks without leaving watery residue or blotting the paint. They are lovely to clean off residual paint from my painting brushes (both silicone and synthetic bristles) after I have had them submerged in water for a while, or to remove medium or gesso from my silicone brushes easily.

They don't work as well to wipe off almost dry paint completely or remove stubborn dry paint on my hands, table or brushes, though.

I love that these wipes are plant-based and environmentally friendly. I bought the small package just to given them a try, but I will definitely buy them again in a large package.

TEK Firm Toothbrush

This is an average toothbrush but one of the few hard-bristles that I could find on Amazon at an affordable price. I don't use hard bristles on my teeth due to my dentist's advice. The product page advertises this as having a in-built special tongue scraper. There is not such a thing and reported this to Amazon. You might consider the curved handle the scraper, but the design of the handle would not allow me to use it as such, and there is no special scrub feature on it or on the top of the brush head. This is a very simple average toothbrush.

I bought this brush because the hard-bristles are perfect for cleaning small and difficult-to-reach corners in my kitchen and bathroom, and to clean tiles grout and the dirt around my taps. They are great for that. The handle is medium strength, not the most sturdy I've had, but good enough.

Sabco Microfingers Mini Duster (Green)

This is a good duster. It's structure and handle are made of sturdy plastic, while the head is velvety soft and dusts beautifully, especially at-reach wide surfaces (tables, beside tables, consoles, shelves). Ain't sure why is called 'mini' because I'd say the head is quite large, and certainly larger than my old one.  What is mini (meaning short) is the handle, so ain't able to reach lamps, the top of my blinds or high surfaces unless I use a chair or a stool.  It gets the dust out easily and I wash it under running water with average household soap and, when dry, it looks like new. I can wash it because the head is a sort of glove that I can get on/off. I wish  it had a Velcro closure to make the removal a bit easier, but it's not difficult at all. I love the brand and having all my cleaning products in this bright green. Good value for money, too.

Long Life Self-Shine Floor Polish 1 Litre

I always make sure I have this floorboard polish at home when a house inspection is due. I've used this product since I moved into my this house and I love it because I can clearly see the "before & after" effect. I tend to use the same brand of cleaning product to maximize the effect, but I've also used other brands and it doesn't really matter. After cleaning the floor and, when it's totally dry, I sprinkle the product directly on to the floor. Then I mop it rapidly so the droplets don't dry and don't leave a mark. Ideally, it should be mopped following the layout of the floorboards, but that's not always possible, so I mop always in one direction in the room. I let it dry on its own for at least an hour. Needless to say, it dries quicker in Summer. I don't usually buff it, but the floor still looks amazing. If I buff it with a towel the shine effect is more noticeable. Due to this being a wood polish, the quantity of product in the bottle and the price, I consider this very good value for money.

Drano Kitchen Max Gel Drain Cleaner 770mL

I've used this product in several occasions as my kitchen sink has old pipes and a slow drain and, when I run the water continuously, the sink cannot cope and the water pools and bubbles up. I've  tried other products in the past and I barely got any result. I've used this and the slow drainage stops. Half of the bottle is what I need and what the package recommends to use. However, unlike the instructions on the package, I leave the product in for at least an hour, not the 15-30 minutes recommended as I did this in the past and didn't work as well. I got the bottle today, I used upon arrival, and my sink drains normally.

Dual-Purpose Rubber Floor Brush

I've used this broom both on my wood floors and my concrete front yard to sweep and remove garden drops or little stones; it works perfectly on both surfaces. Good quality rubber broom, too. It really brooms beautifully catching little particles that my normal bristle broom doesn't. The only let down is that the telescopic handle tends to loosen itself a bit and I have to fasten it often
