These fittings are specifically designed to connect different EKET cabinets/cubes if you want to have them placed on the floor, not on the wall (there are specific fittings for that purpose) They come with the corresponding connecting screws/clips.
By looking at the instructions leaflet, they seem to be super easy to instal. However, as other EKET components, they aren't well designed and/or manufactured. What meant to be an easy task, it turned out to be a hassle.
The fittings are made of galvanised steel, and therefore, good quality. However, the accompanying screw system (clipping a plastic nail into a plastic screw holder) is not something I want to use when mounting furniture that might contain many kilos inside. These clips are similar to others I've used in the past with other Ikea products; however, the heads don't clip in at all, or it takes effort for them to do. Some of the clips worked first time. Others, didn't work at all so I had to use a soft hammer knock to get them down, while others, they split open and were ruined.
The result is as intended, you put two or more cubes together and, for sure, they're more connected and safer than if they would be if you didn't use them. Yet, they don't hold the cubes strongly either due to only two clips being used on each side and the clipping system being plastic.
