Jacquard Lumiere Bright Gold Acrylic Paint 70Ml

I love this line of metallic acrylics as it is not too transparent or too opaque. Besides, this gold colour stands out apart from any other I have used before, like it's way better. It's a bit on the yellowish side, more than the true gold version from the same brand, and it could be used as brass colour, too. Good quality. A bit pricey but a small amount goes a long way.

Jacquard Lumiere Halo Blue Gold Acrylic Paint 70Ml

Jacquard Lumiere is an awesome line of metallic paints and this colour is beautiful and interesting to work with. I love the fact that, unlike other metallic acrylic paints, this line offers a good coverage and the quality of the pigment is amazing. This colour is beautiful, but the colour you see from the bottle and what you get when you paint with the product are slightly different. I purchased this colour for the blueish golden green nature of it, which is what the bottle looks like from outside in real life. However, the paint is a multi-chrome with all the pros and cons you get from those colours. On the up side, it can be layered on many colours and looks different depending on the light angle, so it's versatile and interesting. However, this is more a green than a blue, and the yellow gold sometimes overwhelms the other pigments. For me, it's great when I want to jazz up some painting area, but not that good if I want a set colour to use. Good quality product overall.

Liquitex Professional Heavy Body Acrylic 6-Pack - Vibrant Set

Liquitex acrylic are amongst my fav acrylic paints in the market. I love the buttery nature of them as allow me to create oil-like strokes, marks and looks. They spread well and a tiny amount covers a lot of space. Pigments are great and lightfast. They last a long time, can be used undiluted to create oil-like paintings, or diluted with water or glaze to use for washes and glazes. They mix well among themselves. The colours in this set are very bright, almost fluoro, and a pleasure to work with them. I think this sizing is perfect as some of the colours might not be everyone's cup of tea. Great start taster, perfect to try before purchasing the full size product.  I bought this packet during the Boxing Day sale and they were very affordable, but they are on the expensive side.

Mont Marte Metallic Acrylic Paint 8 Piece

I'm happy I purchased this taster set because, after trying it, I won't be buying the product again. For the same reason, I'm glad that I didn't purchase the larger set.

The colours are very pretty, and can be mixed or layered among themselves. I especially like the bronze and the copper colours on their own. I also like how the green and blue, the pink and purple, and the copper and bronze mix together. The golden paint is very light, so it looks very pretty over some of the other colours.

In all honesty, the picture of the packaging back on the info product page is clear and you can see that the colours are semi-transparent (marked by the small circle filled half way). I didn't notice the photo, unfortunately, but I was looking for a matte opaque set and this is not.

I don't mind the colours transparency, as they are perfect for layering and to add final touches. However, I find that the colours are very pretty but don't have enough pigment and the texture is medium-body not heavy-body. Besides, the mica content is on the low level, so sometimes the metallic shine doesn't show much.

These acrylics are light-fast and can be easily stored vertically in a low pen holder.

A good intro set of acrylics for craft painting.

UPDATE 30/1/24
I have been using the golden, bronze and copper colours a lot lately. They can be layered easily to create depth and vibrant results. They work especially good on cardboard colour paper way better than on water surfaces. I have come to use several coats to get a bit of more opacity. These are the colours I use the most and they are really pretty. I add a bit of black to the bronze and gold to create a vintage worn-out sort of effect. I have to come to love these despite their shortcomings. A bit of paint goes a long way.

Kaisercraft KAKC031 Acrylic Paint, Black

Like the rest of the brand, this black Karisercraft paint is a fluid acrylic. It's perfect for crafts and art journaling but not for paintings as the paint is not light-fast and will fade if exposed to light. Yet, it makes a great black tube to experiment with when I want to try new things that might sometimes end in the bin or recycled. I've used it on my gel plate and it worked nicely. Great price.

Kaisercraft KC035 Kaiser Colour Acrylic Paint, Eggshell

This an acrylic directed to crafters not painters, but I wish it had professional quality because this is one of my fav neutral colours ever. The colour is like a super-light neutral grey. I use it on its own, and I love it as it is or mixed with other neutrals. This is a flow acrylic, therefore low viscosity, and a bit liquid. I wish the brand specified this on the package. The price is amazing for a large amount of product. The tap is quite mediocre as it has no screw stop; also, it's too small to use it to keep the tube vertically. This being the case, the tube cannot be stored vertically but horizontally, which multiplies the chances of getting paint spilled. . For the rest a great product for the price.

Liquitex Professional Heavy-Body Acrylic Paint 59 ml Tube, Turquoise Deep (561) (Series 2)

This is a beautiful semi-opaque heavy-body turquoise acrylic. It's a bit pricey but a tiny amount of product goes a long way. The color is absolutely stunning and very versatile as, depending on the quantity I use, it looks a quite dark or almost translucent. This is the first Liquitex professional heavy-body acrylic I've bought, and it's totally worth the money.

Uni-Posca PC-7M Art Paint Marker

Posca markers are my fav acrylic markers because of the quality of the ink, container pen and nib. This is one of the larger Posca markers and has a round nib. The marker has a beautiful black matte colour and glides easily on watercolour paper (180, 200 and 300 gsm are the ones I usually use them with) without bleeding. I use it for dotting, creating bold marks in my artwork, and to fill small tricky spots in paintings. Ink is water-based so I give it a minute or two to dry off before applying any medium or any other paint on top because it smudges. It prefer to use it when the artwork is almost finished just to contour, fill in gaps and add extra marks. The nib is removable and washable. The only thing that annoys me about the nib is the fact that, when you first get the marker, you have to pump it for an eternity for the ink to come out. The nib gets easily ruined if used on wet painted surfaces, and, although it can be washed, sometimes the damage is not repairable. For the rest, this is one of my art supplies staples.

Kaisercraft Kaiser Colour Acrylic Paint, Candy

This is a gorgeous colour and a decent acrylic glaze at a great price. It is not a paint per se as it is runny and body is fluid not medium or heavy. Average quality and a good amount of product for the price as well. I don't like the cap, as it too small to store the tube vertically, and, that being the case, it needs lots of storage space.

Kaisercraft Colour Acrylic Paint, Sage

I have many of these tubes. Needless to say, they aren't acrylic. They're cheap gouaches. However, the pigments are great and they are great value for money. Great for beginners on a budget. The sage colour is really pretty, especially when dry, but I have noticed that this tube is way runnier than other pigments. I've used this straight from the tube, without mixing it with water, and it has poor coverage and is really watery. Due to being water-based, the pigment dries lighter than the colour you get fresh from the tube.

Kaisercraft KAKC002 Kaiser Colour Acrylic Paint, Antique White

I'm a fan of these acrylic water-soluble brand and tubes. I consider this more a gouache than a proper acrylic, though. It is a great product for beginners at a very affordable price, and the tube it has a generous amount of paint in it. The paint is a bit more liquid than other similar acrylics I own and the hue changes a bit when dry.

This antique white colour is just beautiful on its own and perfect to mix with skin colour hues and get a more natural look. It is a white warm, not beige, but it has a hint of beige. Actually, if I had to give it a name that perfectly describes the colour, I would say 'vanilla', as it looks like the colour vanilla ice-cream usually has.

The thing I don't like about this tube is that the top cap and base are too small and thin, respectively, to hold the tube vertically, so I have to store this horizontally and, this being the case, it takes a lot of space.

Kaisercraft KAKC017 Colour Acrylic Paint, Navy Blue

I'm a fan of these Kaisercraft gouache/water-soluble acrylic paint tubes, as they're reasonably good for the price and have a decent quantity of product in them.

I usually find the name the brand gives to the colours accurate as it reflects the known colour or it rightly hints to what we can expect. However, in this case I find that the blue is not navy blue, it is too light for that. The thing is, on the exterior, it actually looks like navy-blue, but the paint itself does not, as per my swatches above. On the other hand, this blue is just wonderful and can be diluted to get lighter blue tones as per my photo above.

MIND

> Liquid body not medium or heavy body acrylic. Almost a glaze.
> This is a water-soluble acrylic. I read this as a gouache, which is OK with me.
> The colour changes considerably when dry, this is because of the water-soluble nature of it.
> The tube cannot be placed vertically due to the cap being tiny, so it has to be stored horizontally.

FolkArt Acrylic Paint 18-colour Set (2-Ounce)

THINGS I LIKE

> The colours are beautiful and varied. Primary and secondary included. There is one pastel included, the Baby Pink, and it is just so pretty.
> They're gouache-like, so you can use the pigment straight from the bottle or dilute it with water.
> Good overall quality.
> Quantity in each bottle is considerable.
> The bottles have a sticker on the cap top showing the colour, which comes super handy when you have a lot of bottles and want to choose the colour rapidly.
> Very good value for money, especially because if you were buying individual bottles/colours you'd be paying almost double the price.

THINGS THAT CAN BE IMPROVED
> The selection of blues. I missed a navy or dark blue. The two blues provided are too close in hue.
> Ditto the browns.
> Ditto the yellows.
