I
bought this grey card pack just because it was cheaper than the white
paper one and not sure what the real colour was as the product page
doesn't show it. The cards are toned in a lovely warm grey as per my
photos. The card stock is sturdy and has resisted everything I've done
to it today without tearing.
Things I've done to the paper just to try it:
> Covered the cards in white high tooth gesso.
> Added a coat of heavy-body acrylic paint.
> Glued several layers of collage paper using matte gel medium.
> Glued a small piece of fabric.
> Stitched French point using embroidery thread, previously using an awl to perforate it.
> Added a glaze of acrylic paint and rubbed it with my fingers.
The
paper has resisted everything. The stock is 215 gsm and not 300, which
is ideal for mixed media, and that shows in the fact that the paper
corners curl a bit.
I've also tried the paper without gesso and also resisted everything.
The
third experiment I've carried out is stitching and doing basic sewing
and embroidery on it, without gesso added. I also added heavy-body
acrylic paint and rubbed water-soluble crayons. The paper stood
everything as per my photos.
For the rest this is an excellent
artist paper, versatile, and it can be used as it is, in the original
toned colour or covered in paint , gesso or anything you want.
Yet, it's a bit expensive taking into account that the pack only has 30 tiles.
I'm a fan of Hask hair products, and some of them are a staple in my beauty case. However, this supposed conditioner has been a great disappointment. It does not condition or detangle my hair after washing it, so I don't consider this to be a proper conditioner. It works more like an add-on shine and protection oil once I've conditioned my hair with another product'; also, it's not as good as Hask oil vials either as a leave-in product, at least on my hair. I won't buy it again.
I bought this pack to use it for stitching in my artwork. The mix of colours is lovely and varied and includes the main colour families. The bobbins are half the size, or less, of average bobbins (see my photo), but that doesn't bother me as I won't be using them to sew garments or in big projects. What bothers me is the quality of the thread, which is average, not good; as the thread is quite thin, I need to use it doubled so that it's noticeable on the paper. The needle threader is handy but it's also paper thin. The container box is nice and handy to keep all the bobbins tidily stored.
I bought this set to use the chalks on thick watercolour paper in my mixed media projects. They are great for the price and very versatile. The flat shape makes them perfect for scribbles and fine mark lines. The container box is really lovely and keeps them all tidy so I can put them anywhere without fear of them being damaged.
bought this set of Microns not only to have good-quality permanent archival liners, but also because I wanted markers with bigger nibs than the usual. These markers go from size 1 to 12 (no fine or micro point nibs) so they're perfect for my mixed media projects as liners, fillers and mark making tools. They are precise and don't smudge. See my swatch photo to get an idea of the nib thickness. I love these markers design, which is immediately recognisable and also perfect to read the text on them; the size number is clearly visible both on the cap top and on the pen body, something that I love as I can easily find the size I want no matter the markers are stored vertically or horizontally. I bought this for a good price, so this is a bonus.
Good quality, sharp blades and excellent price. This trimmer is a bit larger and bigger than I wanted it to be, but it's good overall. See my photos beside my kitchen scissors and my small craft scissors.
I'm utterly disappointed with this set, especially because the straps seem to be good quality, they're nicely packaged and the price is good. As sizing was not mentioned anywhere, I took for granted that these straps were standard strap width. However, that's not the case (see my photo). They're perfect for small girl bras or for bras holding an A cup, which usually have skinny straps, not average adult bras. I have different bra brands and sizes and these extenders don't fit any of them. As I unwillingly broke the packaging box, I cannot return the items. So, the value for money is none.
