I
bought this paper not knowing what to expect as the page info seems to
indicate that this paper is specific for Japanese calligraphy. However,
I got what I was looking for -- a good quality rice paper that I can
use in my mix media projects. It has a soft face and a textured back,
which makes it versatile for different art projects. The paper stands
well ink-jet printers and I got good quality printing results despite my
printer being an average home printer.
The only downside is the
sizing. See my photo with an A4 paper sheet against this paper. This
isn't important for calligraphy, drawing, collage paper making, or for
transferring. However, isn't a good size for printing, so I had to use a
guillotine it to get the right A4 size for printing.
For the rest a great versatile rice paper at an affordable price.
This is a great set of chalk markers in different sizes. The markers are really good quality and they come with a set of sticker tags that you can use around your home for quick notes or to-do lists. I have mine stuck to my laptop, desk and fridge. A sponge eraser is also part of the set and erases the chalk completely with no effort, so the tags can be used endlessly. The different sizes are perfect to use for personal noting or to write big lettering or messages on glass or any large surface. I also use these markers on my art journaling as permanent marker when the surface is porous, but not on gessoed, ModPodged areas or on pastel colours as, otherwise, they aren't permanent. For the rest, they are great value for money.
These paper napkins are just beautiful. Three-ply quality tissue paper, great quality printing and stunning colours. I use them for decoupage to create focal points, using different part of the imagery, but they will certainly impress my guests. Perfect for fancy picnics, high tea, Summer Xmas and any special summer/spring special occasion.A bit pricey, but totally worth it.
This is a weird eraser. I have tested it against other erasers, as per above photo, and this is the best of the lot. Yet, it feels weird. It smells and feels like Play-Doh, but it's actually rubber. It doesn't leave waste/dust behind, but it's a bit like having dry chewing-gum in your hands. A good odd eraser.
This is a simple but effective cutter. It does the job for a fraction of the price other cutters do. It looks great on the table, it is lightweight, and the cutter cuts well. Measurements are both in centimeters and inches. On the other hand, the cutter is a bit rough, not really sharp, and the measurements on the pad, all being in black, aren't especially visible. One of my main issues with this product is the fact that there is no adjustable holds to hold the paper in a way that it doesn't move when you close the press. If you want a precision cutter, this is not for you. However, it is OK for general use and at a good price.
This is an A4 circle template/stencil made of good quality flexible plastic, with a great range of circle sizes. Easy to use whether just to draw in pencil or with paint. I've used it with both graphite and gouache paints, and it cleans easily. I would not use it with archival ink or any non water-based/distressing ink as it will stain the plastic. I'm happy with the product, but it's really pricey for what it is.
This pen holder looks small, but it's actually very roomy, holds tons of stuff and, that being the case, it saves desktop space. It rotates beautifully. No assembling required. It is made of good antique-white plastic, very skandie if you want, so it looks great anywhere you put it. Good value for money.
